The working principle of infrared temperature sensor
1. What is Infrared
Infrared light is a kind of light invisible to the human eye, but in fact it is an objective substance like any other light. Any object as long as its temperature is higher than thermodynamic zero, there will be infrared radiation to the surrounding. Infrared light is located in the visible light in addition to the red light, so called infrared. Its wavelength range is roughly within the spectrum of 0.75~100μm.
2. Infrared radiation
The physical nature of infrared radiation is thermal radiation. The higher the temperature of the object, the more infrared radiation, and the stronger the energy of infrared radiation. Studies have found that the thermal effect of various monochromatic light of the solar spectrum from purple light to red light is gradually increasing, and the maximum thermal effect occurs within the frequency range of infrared radiation, so people will also be infrared radiation called thermal radiation or heat rays.
3. Sensing principle of infrared temperature sensor
Thermal sensor is the use of radiation heat effect, so that the detector device receives radiation energy caused by the temperature rise, and then make a column in the sensor and the temperature of the performance changes. Detection of which a change in performance, it can detect the radiation. In most cases is through the Seebeck Effect to detect radiation. When the device receives radiation, it causes a physical change of non-electricity, which can also be measured after changing into electricity by appropriate changes.
